The Clover Chenille needles No. 18 are sturdy embroidery needles with a sharp point and large eye, ideal for working with thicker embroidery and embellishment threads. They are widely used in wool appliqué projects, such as those by Sue Spargo, and for decorative embroidery where the stitch is meant to stand out.
Thanks to the large eye, these needles are perfectly suited for Perlé cotton size 5, such as WonderFil Eleganza #5, as well as for couching (securing a thicker thread or ribbon on top of the fabric with small stitches).
